The Lazerwolfs (Chris La Tray and Bubba Warne), after a promo EP (reviewed on Stoned Gods) and a line up change (a new guitarist has joined the band: Jimmy Rolle), are now ready with their debut full length album Get Mad. A metal/stoner work with many influences and different moods that give us another good band at which we have to pay attention.
During the over 40 minutes of these seven tracks I've found many aspects of these musicians background connected together, from the 80ies metal chorus of Bonfire to the jammin' trip of the long ORT, built around hypnotic bass and noisy interferences; in the middle there are many interesting things, that pass through some grunge riffs and stoner grooves. Sometimes the band has remembered me the latest work of Abdullah, in the most heavy metal influenced parts, while in other parts I've found something similar to Wino' Spirit Caravan (take a listen to FOTC: it seems to have a Wino riff with Nebula vocals).
The only things that sometimes I don't like at all in this record are some vocals that appear to much clean: I think that with a strong and raw approach some song could sound better. But this is just my opinion (you know that I love the wildest and most dirty things!) and many of you will appreciate the high quality work of the band in all its aspect.
