Lazerwolfs Live - Liquid Den, Huntington Beach, CA

The Lazerwolfs ripped it up, I gotta say. These three are seasoned vets and have a ton of chemistry and songs to back it up. Rolle is the nicest guy you can imagine, but when he plugs in the dude channels Satan through his fretboard. Amazing.

La Tray is the consumate thunder God - the bass is treated like the instrument it is rather than a thing to make noise with. He had a bad case of Laryngitis the day before, but his voice made a miraculous recovery. The man was on.

Bubba is a great drummer, heavy-handed in that Bonham way and a helluva nice guy. I'm disappointed he didn't take off his cap and let the mullet fly though.

They played a cover of "Tom Sawyer" and the club owner looks at me and says "Fuck! These guys are amazing!!".

The topper was these two guys who were Beavis and Butthead incarnate. They walked in with "Lazerwolf" stenciled on their shirts and went through at least six pitchers before the Lazerwolfs went on. They were right up front and center for the whole performance going nuts and even moshing. The funniest fucking thing I've seen this month.
